The finca is 4 manzanas (7 acres) in size and includes a beautiful farmhouse, approximately 5,000 coffee plants, 60 avocado trees and several lime, mandarina, mango and orange trees. A small garden also produces habanero chili peppers, herbs and other vegetables. Pitaya, a local fruit that grows on a vine is used to make a tasty juice. Several platino (plantain) trees also grow on the property.
The farmhouse is approximately 2300 square feet (213.7 square meters) in area with three bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen with beautiful solid wood cabinets. A breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the dining area and the sala (TV and sitting area). A small room adjacent to the kitchen can be used as an office or bedroom. The large porch has space for a picnic table, several lounge chairs and a large hammock. The porch faces to the East and has one of the most beautiful views in the State of Carazo.
Attached to the farmhouse by a covered walkway is a two-car garage, a small workshop (bodega), a lavanderia (laundry area) plus an additional bathroom. The garage/laundry/bodega area is approximately 630 square feet (58.5 square meters) in size. A solar panel system supplies electricity to the house, the garage/bodega area and the adjacent guard house and the coffee storage/processing area. The finca has equipment for the first-stage processing of the coffee beans and three large coffee drying pads. A pila (cistern) located under the porch has a capacity to store approximately 1200 gallons (45,000 liters) of rainwater that is collected from the roof in the rainy season and is processed through a three-stage filtration system. The water is supplied to the home and work areas by way of a submersible pump and pressurized water tank. A gas fired water tank supplies hot water to the home.
A long tree and flower-lined camino (driveway) connects the property to the local highway.
